What is the PRX Derm Perfection/PRX PLUS Treatment?

The PRX Derm Perfection and PRX PLUS treatments are new skin rejuvenation solutions that stimulate the skin from the inside out. They lighten, brighten, and tighten the skin while stimulating collagen and elastin at the deepest levels without disturbing the upper layers of the skin. PRX Derm Perfection is ideal for overall rejuvenation and brightening, while PRX PLUS offers an advanced solution for more significant skin aging and stubborn pigmentation concerns. Created and formulated in Italy, the PRX family of treatments has been successfully used on over 4 million faces worldwide.

This treatment is safe for all skin types. It is recommended to consult with your provider to properly perform a skin analysis to identify possible contraindications. The most common contraindications are:

Can you perform the treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. PRX Derm Perfexion and PRX Plus are not safe for patients who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.

How long does the PRD Derm Perfection/PRX Plus Treatment take?

A face and neck treatment takes approximately 20-30 minutes, including pretreatment.

What is the difference between PRX Derm Perfection and PRX Plus?

PRX Derm Perfection is focused on hydrating and enhancing the skin, perfect for prejuventation and rejuvenation of the skin. A good choice for more delicate skin, acne prone and lighter levels of pigmentation. PRX-Plus is more focused on pigmentation, mature skin and photodamaged skin. However both fomulations work to tighten, tone and lift the skin. 

Is there any discomfort with the treatment?

Generally, the treatment is well tolerated by most patients. Only minimal itching or burning sensations during treatment are reported and are considered normal, especially during the first treatment. Please let your provider know if this sensation increases during treatment and if treatment becomes uncomfortable.

How many treatments do I need to see results?

You will notice an immediate improvement after 1 session, but a full series (min. of 4 treatments) is needed for longer-lasting collagen formation. PRX Derm Perfection is a series of 4 treatments one week apart. PRX Plus is a series of 5 treatments, two weeks apart. 

What should I expect immediately after PRX Derm Perfection and PRX Plus?

After the treatment, your skin will look brighter, plumper, tighter and more rested. There could be moderate redness with some flaking. Flaking means your skin needed to shed some excess dead cells. Both the flaking and the moderate redness can be alleviated by using Moisturizing Face Cream for Dry Skin. The home care program is specifically designed to alleviate possible discomforts such as redness or light flaking in the days following the treatment, and it is used to enhance and prolong PRX Derm Perfexion’s dermal stimulation.

Is there downtime after the treatment?

No. You will be able to resume your social and professional life immediately after the treatment. Any redness or light flaking can be alleviated by using Moisturizing Face Cream for Dry Skin.
